About / editorial practice

A closer reading of home.

AUSHOME is an independent Australian journal and advisory practice connecting the culture of architecture with the practical decisions that shape daily life.

01 / Mission

Make design thinking useful

Architecture is often presented as a finished image. We are more interested in the chain of observations and choices behind it: who a place serves, how climate enters the room, what a material asks over time and how intent reaches the site.

02 / Editorial method

Six lenses, one connected story

Our work moves through everyday scenarios, context research, natural light, materials, spatial flexibility, and delivery and detail. These are not separate trends. Together they form a practical way to read and shape homes, interiors and neighbourhoods.

03 / Who it is for

Readers and decision-makers

We write for curious households, students, emerging practitioners, experienced professionals and small organisations. Advisory work is for people who need a clear comparison, a stronger brief or an independent review before the next consequential decision.
